Terms of Service

The Director turns a sentence into a short video clip and lets you keep extending it. Using the app means accepting what follows. If you do not, do not use it.

1. The service

The Director is an iPhone app published by Jazz Games. You describe a shot, our servers pass that description to a video model, and a clip comes back. You can then extend the film: each new clip is generated from the last frame of the previous one. There is no account and no login; the app is tied to the installation on your device.

2. Credits

Rendering costs credits, counted in seconds of footage. One credit is one second at 768p, or two seconds at 480p. A subscription includes an allowance of credits each period, granted when the subscription starts and again on each renewal. Credit packs may be bought by active subscribers only.

Credits are charged when a shot is submitted, and refunded automatically if the render fails, times out, or never produces a usable clip. Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred between devices or people. Unused credits do not expire while your subscription is active.

3. Subscriptions and payment

Subscriptions are sold through the App Store and billed to your Apple ID. They renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and are managed entirely in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions — we cannot cancel one for you. Any free trial period ends immediately if you buy a subscription during it. Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may change with notice for future periods.

4. Refunds

Purchases are made from Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no ability to issue one. Where a render fails, the credits it cost are returned to your balance automatically — that is the remedy the app provides, and it is applied without you having to ask.

5. What you may write

You are responsible for what you type. Do not use The Director to produce:

• sexual content involving minors, or any depiction of a minor in a sexual context;
• realistic depictions of identifiable real people without their consent — including public figures — presented as if genuine;
• content intended to deceive: fabricated news footage, fake evidence, or a clip passed off as a recording of something that happened;
• material that harasses, threatens or incites violence against a person or group;
• anything unlawful where you are, or anything that infringes someone else's intellectual property.

Prompts are also screened by our provider's own safety systems, which may refuse a request independently of us. A refusal is not a fault in the app.

6. What you own

You own the clips you generate, to the extent that generated output can be owned where you live — in several jurisdictions purely machine-generated material may not attract copyright at all, and we make no promise on that point. You may use your clips commercially. We claim no ownership of them and do not use your prompts or clips to train models.

You grant us only the licence needed to run the service: to transmit your prompt and seed frame to our video provider, and to store the results so you can watch and export them.

7. What the app does not promise

Generated video is unpredictable. A clip may not resemble what you pictured, may contain artefacts, may drift from earlier shots in the same film, and may render text as nonsense. None of that is a defect, and none of it entitles you to a refund of a render that completed. The app is provided as-is, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

8. Availability and storage

We store your finished clips so they remain playable, but the app is not a backup service. Export anything you care about. We may remove content that violates section 5, and we may stop offering the service, in which case we will give reasonable notice so that you can export your reels.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

10. Ending it

You can stop using the app at any time; cancel the subscription in iOS Settings and delete your data from Settings → Delete my data. We may suspend an installation that repeatedly violates section 5.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, and the courts of Istanbul have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
